The Everett Children’s Adventure Garden at the NY Botanical Garden

Explore this 12-acre, indoor/outdoor interactive museum where kids can have hands-on fun and learn about plants, science and the natural world.

Budding Botanist Early Learner Activities—Tuesday-Friday, 1:30-3pm Toddlers discover nature through crafts, plant potting, mini nature walks, storytime and music. This program is ongoing throughout the year.

Summer Garden: July-September

Summer hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-6pm.

Summer Train Show –June 30-September 9 Colorful model engines travel through a garden landscape studded with intricately designed replicas of homes of America’s beloved story tellers and artists. The magical sight will transport visitors to a breathtaking sylvan world, sparkling with the excitement and whimsy of model trains.

Lean Green Insect Eating Machines: Discover the World of Carnivorous Plants—June 30-September 30 The hands-on event allows families to discover the fascinating plants that devour insects and learn how they capture their prey.

Autumn Garden: September-November

Autumn hours are Weekdays, 1-6pm; Weekends, 10am-6pm.

Fall Foliage Festivities—Saturday, October 6-Sunday, November 18 (weekday afternoons and all day weekends) Families experience the chainging reds, yellows and oranges threading through the Garden. With plant pressing and seed hunting, children learn how and why leaves change color and how animals assist in pollination.

Holiday Garden: November- January

Holiday hours are Weekdays, 1-4pm; Weekends, 10am-4pm. Call (718) 817-8700 for additional extended holiday hours.
