ABOUT EDUCATION UPDATE

Founded in 1995 by Dr. Pola Rosen, Education Update, an award-winning* monthly free newspaper, deals with issues, people and events in education from pre-school to graduate school. Currently, Education Update has about 100,000 readers and receives 2 million monthly hits on its website, www.EducationUpdate.com. Recently Education Update was on New York 1 (NY1) news for creating an historic event: honoring outstanding teachers in NYC. Our readers include teachers, principals, superintendents, guidance counselors, members of the Board of Regents, college presidents, deans of education, foundation heads, corporate leaders, politicians, parents and high school and college students.

ABOUT THE PUBLISHER

Dr. Pola Rosen holds a BA from Barnard College and a doctoral degree in Special Education from Columbia University (Teachers College)
She has taught and been a supervisor in the public schools of NYC
She was an assistant professor of Special Education at CUNY
Born in Argentina, Dr. Rosen is bilingual
She has appeared on Channel 11 (WPIX) News, Brian Lehrer Show (NPR), ARC of San Diego keynote speaker, and NY1 Channel News.
She was a moderator of an Editors Panel at the Marymount Manhattan Writers Conference (2002-2007)
